I think as long as you bring up your GPA and rock your application, you have a good chance of getting into a four year school. One thing though, you have a very slim chance of getting into University of Chicago, but maybe you meant to say University of Illinois-Chicago. It's two different schools, University of Chicago is private and very hard to get into. I would say pursue PLU if you already have references because they can have a big impact on admissions. In my opinion, your school is right about the SATs too. If you are going to transfer into a four year school with an associates degree, they will pay attention to your work in that, not in high school so standardized tests aren't as important. Q. ok so i'm a 17 year old black male junior in high school and i want to be a marine corps pilot.my gpa is a 2.7 and i'm a company xo for my jrotc program,congresional youth program alumni,drill team exibitionist,a raider,student ambassador,naval sea cadet i got the presidential fitness award,and i'm thinking about joining civil air patrol in january.my question is what are my chances of getting into the naval academy or a nrotc scholarship and what more should i do to get a better chance of getting accepted? also do the things u did in middle school count?
